Clydesdale Cottage offers travelers and tourists every comfort of a home and a treasure of beautiful, greenery and natural surroundings surrounded by an 18 hole golf course in the country, outskirts of bustling Kuala Lumpur city. You will be mesmerized by the fresh air, silence and sounds of birds chirping, squirrels running around and the wind blowing into your face. Relax and walk in the beautiful gardens with so much of different fauna and trees. You will find birds such as the woodpecker, Kingfisher, sparrow and many others.
History
Clydesdale Cottage was inspired by the owner when she was 10 years old. She was often called by the name of Goldilocks because she has curly hairs locked in a wave like 'Goldilocks and the 3 bears'. She fantasied being Goldilocks living in the cottage that belonged to the 3 bears. One day, she was asked by her father what she was thinking and fantasizing? She replied that she is Goldilocks living in a cottage. So, her father asked her to draw the cottage and she drew it to perfection with a beautiful garden, walkway to the front door, with beams on the ceiling and mysterious hallway to the rooms and an attic.
As Goldilocks grew older, she kept sketching the cottage for many years on pieces of paper. She eventually asked the architect to draw and later the contractor to build. Clydesdale Cottage was built in 1999 after the owner and her family returned from Exeter, UK. Exeter is close to the countrysides with lots of cottages, farms and animals. Clydesdale was named after Clydesdale Avenue where she and her family lived in Exeter in the vicinity of University of Exeter.
The living Room
The living room is spacious and has a modern yet English taste at its best. Its decor is full of replicas of blue and white plates hang proudly on its exposed bricked walls.
The Dining Room
The dining room is the welcoming room as you enter Clydesdale Cottage. It has the country design dining table that sits 6. There are other dining area in the garden that sits 4. This room is decorated with many blue and white plate collected in UK. It is cooling and windy as it opens its French door to the side garden and the front garden. Its window opens to the front garden and full view of the entrance.
